KEAN CIPRIANO says he really wanted to be a lawyer before, but he jokes that he made “a campus tour”, shifting from one course to another before he forayed into becoming the vocalist of Callalily and later ventured into acting. He proved to be in demand as an actor.
For this year alone, Kean did a total of seven movies: “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 2” (an official entry in Metro filmfest), “Mano Po 7: Chinoy”, “That Thing Called Tanga Na”, “Love is Blind”, “Triptiko”, “Echorsis” and the barkada movie, “Bar Boys”, which will be shown in theaters on December 2. So does he consider himself now more of an actor than a rock band vocalist?
“I enjoy acting but I’m still a full fledged musician,” he says. “Sa singing and music ako nagsimula, so first love ko pa rin yan. I’m just grateful that doors also opened for me to show that I can also act.”

So how is it being married to Chynna Ortaleza and being dad to their daughter? “As much as possible. I don’t want to talk about my family life but we’re happy. Masaya maging dad and I’m thankful to be blessed with a beautiful woman, a beautiful human being. She’s the woman of my dreams. At the end of the day, I’m sleeping with my best friend, kaya wala na akong mahihiling pa.”
