Rap Fernandez, Eldest Son Of Lorna T & The Late Daboy, Gets First Starring Role In 'Every Room Is A Planet'

RAP FERNANDEZ’ daughter, the precocious Tori, turned 5 years old last Friday, November 11, and he’s hosting a big children’s party for her next weekend. He’s also excited as the first movie where he plays a lead role, “Every Room is a Planet”, will be shown as an entry in the Cinema One Filmfest that starts this Monday. Directed by Malay Javier, the movie is a combination of science fiction and romance and Rap is paired with two leading ladies no less, Valeen Montenegro and Antoinette Taus. So how was it doing love scenes with both of them?

“It’s an honor,” he says. “I had a blast. Kaya lang, pinataba muna ako ng director namin dahil dapat daw, hindi sexy ang katawan ng character ko kundi dad bod.”

Valeen says her role is very intriguing as she plays a woman who believes that her would be husband was abducted by aliens on the night of their wedding. “I have a love scene with Rap na kakaiba kasi habang nagroromansa kami, napunta kami sa outer space,” she adds.

Going back to Rap, he says he just visited his Kuya Mark Anthony Fernandez in the Angeles City jail recently. “Doon din kasi nagte-tape ang soap na kasali ako, ‘Sa Piling ni Nanay’,” he says.

“Nakabilanggo ang character ni Yasmien Kurdi doon kaya nadalaw ko siya. Lahat kami sa family, pinapa-feel namin na nandito lang kami para sa kanya and we are all praying for him kaya dapat huwag siyang sumuko dahil malalampasan din niya lahat ng pinagdaraanan niya.”
