Cogie Domingo Used To Be Unprofessional But Swears He's Now A Changed Man More Serious With His Career

COGIE DOMINGO looks like he gained a bit of unwanted weight when we spoke to him on the set of “Someone to Watch Over Me”, where he plays Ian, the new guy in Lovi Poe’s life who might be her replacement for her ailing husband, Tom Rodriguez, who’s suffering from irreversible Alzheimer’s disease. We tell him we remember his very first soap on GMA when he was still a teenager was “Kung Mawawala Ka”, where he became a problem ‘dahil lagi nga siyang biglang nawawala sa set.’ Through the years, he’d come and go and his once promising career failed to fulfill its promise due to reports of being unprofessional.

“Iba na ako ngayon,” he says. “31 na ako. I’m back for good. Kung pasaway ako noon, seryoso na ako ngayon. Tanungin nyo sila rito sa ‘Someone to Watch Over Me’ kung binibigyan ko sila ng problema.”

And the show’s executive producer, Michelle Borja, confirmed to us that he is indeed very cooperative now and never gives them a headache. Does he somehow regret that he somehow neglected his career before?

“Pag naiisip ko, yes may regret, but then, it’s part of my growing up. Siguro kailangan kong pagdaanan yun. As of now, may asawa na ako at may anak.”

His daughter Rihanna is now four years old, but his wife now is not Rihanna’s mom. “Yung mom niya has moved to Australia. Iniwan siya sa akin.”
Does his daughter and his wife get along fine? “Oh yes, magkasundo sila. My wife also has a daughter from a past relationship na 8 years old naman. We all get along fine.”

“Someone to Watch Over Me” is ending on January 6. What’s his next project? “Wala pa. But I hope masundan sana agad. I’m now being managed by GMA Artist Center. Right now, I work out regularly to get rid of my unwanted pounds para mabigyan uli agad ako ng bagong project.”
