“Hopefully, tanggapin ng viewers ang tambalan namin,” says Jen. “Ang daming pinagpilian and Gil is lucky na siya ang nakuha to play Matteo Do, the alien who’s been on earth for four centuries. Ako naman si Steffi, the actress-model who he’ll get involved with. We promise to do our best para patawanin namin ang viewers and make them fall in love with the story.”
“I really didn’t expect na akong mapipili,” says Gil. “I got an email from my management, Cornerstone, to audition for the role. I was in Hong Kong then at nagkataon namang pabalik na ako to fix some school papers sa La Salle, so I told myself, ‘I might as well audition, baka suwertihin ako’t makuha’. Na nangyari nga. I’m truly grateful for this opportunity na makatrabaho si Jennylyn and si Direk Joyce Bernal. I’m proud to now be a Kapuso”.
Gil’s full name is Guillermo and he’s 5’11” tall. He’s Fil-Spanish but has chinito eyes. He’s 20 years old and first appeared in Candy Magazine last year. He has no previous acting experience so he’s attending some acting workshops under Joyce Bernal to prepare him for the cameras with Jennylyn. Here’s hoping he will give justice to the role of Matteo in “My Love from the Star”.
