MEGAN YOUNG says she doesn’t mind if Andrea Torres had more exposure than her in “Alyas Robin Hood” these past couple of weeks. “I went to the U.S.A. kasi with my family for two weeks,” she says. “We went to New York looking for the possibility of a new business. Tapos ngayon, aalis na naman ako on December 15 to host Miss World in Washington DC which will be held on December 18.”
It looks like she has become a favorite of Miss World’s Julia Morley since she has been hosting the show annually after she won the title three years ago. “Actually, expired na ang contract ko with them, but I’m glad kinukuha pa rin nila ako sa activities nila. Miss Morley is like a second mother to me.”
What does she think are the chances of current Philippine representative, Catriona Gray, to also bag the title this coming Sunday? “I really don’t know. It’s hard to expect. When I competed in 2013, hindi ko nilagay sa isip ko na I will take home the crown even if some people were saying malaki ang chance mo to win. Basta I just enjoyed the experience and had fun during the pageant. Mas masarap ang feeling at mas fulfilling yung magugulat kang ikaw pala ang nanalo. Catriona has the potential to win. Ayan na nga, she’s one of the top 10 sa talent portion. That’s a positive step para mapansin siya ng mga tao roon. Of course, I like her to win. We all do, so let’s just keep on praying that she wins.”
How does she feel about being pitted against Andrea as Dingdong Dantes’ love interest in “Alyas Robin Hood”? “We’re not affected kahit pinagtatapat kami. As long as makakatulong sa show, we’ll do it, like yung we confronted each other na pareho kaming in bikinis.
