Sunshine Dizon Clarifies That She Has No Intentions Of Reconciling With Her Estranged Husband

SUNSHINE DIZON’s character, Adhara, in “Encantadia” was killed so she can devote her time to her new afternoon soap, “Ika-6 na Utos”, which will replace “Oh My Mama” in GMA’s Afternoon Prime starting this Monday. At the presscon, she admits she can relate to her role as Emma, the wife deserted by Gabby Concepcion for his mistress, Ryza Cenon. “Siempre, sabi nga nila, kung ano ang mga pinagdaanan niya, napagdaanan ko rin in real life so totoong marami akong paghuhugutan in interpreting my role in the series,” she says.

How is it working with Gabby Concepcion who she first worked with when she was still a child star in the horror movie, “Huwag kang Hahalik sa Diablo” in 1989? “Nakakatuwa kasi sobrang guwapo pa rin niya. He hasn’t aged a bit and very cool lang sa set kaya magaan katrabaho.”

She clarified reports that she’s no longer pursuing the case against her husband and his mistress as they're in good terms again. “Hindi po kami nagkabalikan gaya ng pinalalabas ng iba. Binigyan daw kasi ako ng bahay. We're just being civil with each other for the sake of our children and the house is from my father in law with whom I remain to be in good terms. Itutuloy ko pa rin ang kaso kasi gusto kong maintindihan ng babae niya ang meaning ng ika-6 na utos, na huwag kang makiapid sa hindi mo asawa. But I’m moving on. The pain will always be there, but you can do other things to ease the pain. I’m thankful to GMA for giving me this project kasi maraming maituturo sa mga mag-asawa. As for my ex-husband, we’re trying to be good parents to our two kids so I allow him to take the kids to and from school. We want to show na no matter what happened, our children will still have a family at ayokong ma-feel nilang napapabayaan namin sila.”

DONITA ROSE is back in town after a short stay in the U.S. where she has called it quits with her husband for good. And she’s glad to be hosting a new cooking show that is a collaboration between GMA News TV and CDO Foodsphere Inc. Titled “Everyday Sarap with CDO Christmas Edition”, the show is really right up her alley as she has a passion for cooking ever since she became a wife and mother.
