Katrina wanted to go home to her own resort in El Nido but she decided to avoid the holiday crowd and just spent the Christmas season with her daughter Katie at their home in New Manila. She allows Katie’s dad, Kris Lawrence, to borrow their daughter even for one whole day. “Basta ibabalik lang sa hapon o gabi,” she says.
They both say that they’re lucky “Sa Piling ni Nanay” is extended up to 2017. “So masaya, dahil tuloy-tuloy lang ang trabaho namin sa bagong taon,” they say.
This week, Katrina as the villainous Scarlet tries to kill Mark Herras as Jonas in his hospital bed but Jillian Ward as Katherine arrives so her plan didn’t succeed. She gets a hired killer to do it for her but Gabby Eigenmann as Benedict is able to rescue Mark and takes him away from the hospital. Mark faces Yasmien and Isabel and tells her the truth that Katrina wants to kill him because he obtained the hospital records that will prove that Yasmien is the real biological mother of Jillian and not Katrina. Yasmien says she’ll do everything to get Jillian from Katrina while Jillian herself is trying her best to escape from Katrina’s clutches.
