Alessandra De Rossi Stars As A Brokenhearted Woman Looking For A Mysterious New Love In The Award-Winning 'Sakaling Hindi Makarating' Opens February 1

ALESSANDRA DE ROSSI plays mostly supporting and villain roles on TV, but on the big screen, she’s given the chance to play lead roles every now and then. She now plays the lead character of Cielo in “Sakaling Hindi Makarating”, directed and photographed by new filmmaker Ice Idanan who co-wrote it with Petersen Vargas of “2 Cool 2B 4Gotten”.

Cielo gets heartbroken when her boyfriend of 11 years dumps her just before their wedding and she also loses her job at that. She then isolates herself, wallowing in sadness. Soon, she gets some anonymous hand-illustrated postcards from various parts of the Philippines, along with some love poems, from a secret admirer called M.

She then decides to go on a journey to visit the places in the postcards, using some clues in it, in the hope of discovering the identity of the mysterious M, making “Sakaling Hindi Makarating” a road movie. Among the places she visited are Zamboanga, Siquijor, Marinduque, Batanes and the Ilocos region.

In the course of her journey, it becomes clear that Cielo is also trying to find herself and getting to love herself more. She meets other colorful characters along the way that allow her to let go of the past and help brighten up her life.

Alessandra is ably supported by Pepe Herrera as Paul, her neighbor and friend, and Therese Malvar as Sol, who gets to steal some scenes. Also in the cast are JC Santos as Manuel, Jay Gonzaga as Mark, plus Irma Adlawan, Karen delos Reyes and Elijah Canlas. The movie won the best director award for Idanan and the best actor award for Herrera at the CineFilipino Film Festival last year. It opens in theatres on February 1.
