BARBIE FORTEZA has reason to feel ecstatic since her primetime show, “Meant to Be”, has been rating very high since it started two weeks ago. The feedback is great every night and her four leading men now have their own cheerleaders. “I’m really surprised na lagi kaming trending sa social media at gulat din ako sa dami ng fans ng show na iba-iba ang boy na gusto para sa akin,” says Barbie.
“May mga maka-Ken Chan, maka-Addy Raj, maka-Jak Roberto, maka-Ivan Dorschner. Each of them, may kanya-kanyang kilig na dulot sa fans. Sobrang haba ng hair ko, o. Sabi ko nga, ano kaya, daanin na lang sa text votes as to who should you win my heart. Sino kaya ang makaka-receive ng pinakamaraming text votes?”
This week, Barbie as Billie continues to work as the Girl Friday of the four handsome boys in their sports bar. What’s nice about the show is the touches of comedy that make the viewers laugh out loud, like when Addy as Jai put some coloring on Barbie’s facial wash and her face turns blue without her knowing it. Or when Ivan as Ethan takes a shower without knowing that Barbie is inside and sees him going totally nude.
Viewers who complain that Barbie has more scenes with Ken as Yuan will see this week that Barbie is now getting closer to Ivan who she advises to be in good terms with his own mom who he addresses as Mi. Barbie often hears him arguing on the phone with his Mi. But Ivan, it turns out, already has a girlfriend, and her name is Mia. In fact, she’s the one that Ivan addresses as Mi, not his mommy.
Another element in the show that viewers find interesting is the story between the Triplets: Manilyn Reynes as Amelia, Tina Paner as Suzy and Sheryl Cruz as Beatriz. It seems all the three of them have had a previous connection with Manilyn’s husband, Keempee de Leon as Wilton, making their relationship very, very intriguing.
