Bianca Umali Bashed By Netizens For Posting Her Opinion About Using Less Makeup, Admires Regine Velasquez For Her Knack In Comedy In 'Full House Tonight'

BIANCA UMALI is happy to be part of the new comedy musical show, “Full House Tonight”, where he’s reunited with Miguel Tanfelix and that starts airing this Saturday after “Magpakailanman”. “Miguel and I have done comedy before, in ‘Ismol Family’, but it’s a sitcom at di gaya nitong we’ll do skits and musical number with more established singers and standup comics,” she says.

Bianca, who’s so lovely even without make up, became controversial recently when she posted “no filter” in her social media account and it went viral. Some folks misinterpreted it to mean that she’s against putting on makeup, encouraging girls to post their photos with no makeup but with just their smiles. How did she feel about it?

“Siempre, I felt sad kasi ang gusto ko lang namang iparating is that, once in awhile, it’s better if we’d appreciate the natural beauty that God gave us na wala tayong nilalagay na kahit ano, kasi maraming masyadong dependent sa makeup.”

Some girls told her they’re not like her who has the money to consult a dermatologist all the time. Instead of replying to all the bashing she got, Bianca chose to keep quiet. “Hindi naman ako against
sa paglalagay ng makeup. Bilang artista, ginagamit ko talaga ito kasi kasama sa trabaho ko. But I guess hindi talaga maiiwasan ang pagkakaiba ng opinion, so okay lang. I’ve stated mine, they’ve stated theirs, let’s leave it at that. Basta I just want to make it clear I’m not against putting on makeup, I’m not against anyone who does that.”

How is it working with Regine Velasquez in “Full House Tonight”? “It’s a great experience kasi hindi ko ine-expect na ang galing niyang magpatawa. I know she’s a great singer pero yung mag-comedy, ang husay rin pala niya. I learn a lot from her and from the other comedians in the show, like Philip Lazaro, Kim Idol, Tammy Brown, Sarah Brakensiek and the others. Pareho kami ni Miguel na natutuwang nahahasa kami sa pagpapatawa rito. Soon, sasabak uli kami sa drama on primetime sa new show na ‘Mulawin vs. Ravena’.”
