Condolences To QC Mayor Herbert Bautista & Siblings Harlene & Hero For The Loss Of Their Dad Herminio 'Butch' Bautista

OUR CONDOLENCES to Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista and his siblings Harlene and Hero for the passing of their dad, Herminio “Butch” Bautista, last Sunday at the Philippine Heart Center. He was 82 years old and was part of the original cast of “Lo-Waist Gang” which was a big blockbuster in the mid-50s and had several sequels like “Bakasyon Grande”, “Lutong Makaw” and “Lo’Waist Gang sa Mindoro”, produced by Larry Santiago Productions and directed by Pablo Santiago.

Other members of the gang were the late Fernando Poe, Jr., Zaldy Zshornack, Boy Sta. Romana, Tony Cruz, Berting Labra and Boy Francisco. Butch later on became a director himself in the early 60s, directing films like “The Big Four”, “Sta. Clarang Pinung-Pino”, “Alyas Popeye”. He is different from Arsenio “Boots” Bautista, also a director. He’d later on ran for public office and won as councilor of Quezon City. Herbert followed his footsteps in politics.

His wake was at Loyola Memorial Chapels and funeral is set for this Thursday at Holy Cross Memorial Park. Let’s pray for the repose of his soul.
