Joshua Garcia Definitely The New Star To Watch, But Gets Embarrassed When Compared With John Lloyd Cruz And Alden Richards

JOSHUA GARCIA is most certainly a good leading man material. This is the observation of press people who saw him in person at the 25th Star Magic Anniversary affair where he sang with Julia Barretto and Ronnie Alonte, his co-stars in the recent filmfest hit, “Vince & Kath & James”. He’s tall, good looking and can most certainly act, as what he demonstrated in a recent episode of “Maalaala Mo Kaya”, where he was paired anew with Julia in a tearjerking dramatic story. They really look good together, much more than Julia’s tandem with Ronnie in the nightly soap “A Love to Last”.

When writers talked to him at the Star Magic affair, he expressed being uncomfortable being compared to John Lloyd and also to Alden Richards who some folks say is also his lookalike.

“Nahihiya talaga ako when they compare me kay Kuya John Lloyd. Sino ba naman ang hindi
gugustuhing sumunod sa yapak niya? Kaya lang, napakalaking pressure din, kasi napakagaling niyang aktor. Kapag nakikita ko nga siya, hiyang-hiya ako sa kanya, e. Parang sobrang taas naman ng expectations sa akin ng mga tao at nakakatakot kapag hindi ko magawa kung anuman ang inaasahan nila sa akin.”

How about being compared to Pambansang Bae Alden Richards? “Ganun? Talaga? Ang guwapo ko naman. Thank you. Pero honestly, kahit nakaka-flatter ma-compare sa kanila, mas gugustuhin ko pa ring makilala ako on my own, si Joshua.”
