LJ REYES knows she will incur the ire of a lot of Julie Anne San Jose fans in her role as Angeli, who oppresses Julie Anne as Santina in the GMA Afternoon Prime drama, “Pinulot Ka Lang sa Lupa”. “Malalim ang pinag-ugatan ng feud namin ni Julie Anne dito dahil mga bata pa lang kami, we’re already in conflict,” she says. “Tapos, tumindi ito nang magdalaga kami and we become rivals for the attention of our adoptive mom, si Jean Garcia as Diony. I really resent it when Diony gives her more attention. Bukod diyan, naging magkalaban din kami kay Benjamin Alves as Efraim, na kababata rin namin. So everytime I get a chance, inaapi-api ko rito si Julie Anne.”
In the story, 12 years have passed and Benjamin has become a mixed martial arts fighter who just won his first trophy. His dad, Victor Neri as Cesar, is elated, but had a heart attack and had to be rushed to the hospital. Efraim doesn’t have enough money for the operation of his dad but his estranged mom, Jean Garcia as Diony, comes in and helps them. Victor wakes up and sees Jean who fell asleep while looking after him through the night.
