Maja Salvador's Career On A Roll With A New Movie, 'I'm Drunk, I Love You', And A New TV Show, 'Wildflower'

MAJA SALVADOR says she got excited when she was offered to do “I’m Drunk, I Love You” where she and Paulo Avelino play college students in U.P. “I was only 15 when I joined showbiz at hindi na ko nakabalik sa pag-aaral. So dito, sa U.P. campus mismo kami nag-shoot, kaya feeling estudyante talaga ako dahil hindi nga ako nagka-chance na makapag-college. After reading the script, gandang-ganda rin ako sa flow ng story of a young woman secretly in love with her best friend, si Paulo nga, pero hindi naman niya ma-express ang love niya. Ang ganda ng pagkasulat at tiyak na maraming makaka-identify.”

How is it working with Paulo again after “Bridges of Love”? “Six months kaming nagkasama roon kaya nagkaroon kami talaga ng connection as good friends. Kaya doing our scenes together in ‘I’m Drunk, I Love You’ was quite easy for us kasi we’re so at ease na sa isa’t isa.”

Maja is also happy for her mother, Thelma, who just walked down the aisle recently with her American boyfriend, Roy Linklater. “I’m really so happy for her and I was her maid of honor. Nakita ko namang masayang-masaya ang nanay ko, so nagpapasalamat ako kay Lord for giving her a good partner in life.”

Maja also has a new TV soap that will start airing this Monday to replace “Doble Kara”. The new show is "Wildflower" and she plays the challenging role of a mysterious young woman who is thirsty for revenge after the violent death of her biological parents. Joining her in the cast are Wendell Ramos, Aiko Melendez, Tirso Cruz III, Vin Abrenica and Joseph Marco.
