“We shot the film on location at Tarukan sa bundok in Capas,” she says. “We stayed day for five days ng cast and crew and since walang hotel, we lived in the health center kunsaan naglalatag lang banig when we sleep. Mahirap, kasi malamok, walang kuryente, but I enjoyed it. Nagkaroon pa ng red alert while we were there kasi may threat na daraan daw sa amin yung mga NPA, so we got scared, buti di sila tumuloy.”
There was a sexy actress before also named Anna Luna. Are they related? “No. I was named after the TV show ‘Anna Luna’ aired in the early 90s. Mahilig po kasi sa showbiz ang papa ko. Yung brother ko naman, Antonio Luna ang name. I made my first film when I was 15 years old with Director Chito Rono, ‘Emir’, in 2010. I played the young sister of Frencheska Farr. I sing and I also did theatre work for PETA. I was in plays like ‘Bona’, ‘3 Stars and a Sun’, and a play on William Shakespeare. In 2013, I auditioned kay Direk Ralston Jover for ‘Bendor’ as the daughter of Vivian Velez. Nakuha ako and it was an entry in the Cinema One Filmfest where I won as best supporting actress. Last year naman po, I won also as best supporting actress for the film, ‘Paglipay’, na entry sa To Farm Filmfest. Right now, I’m doing the film ‘Requited’ with Jake Cuenca for the Cinemalaya filmfest and also ‘Dear Other Self’ with Jodi Santamaria. On TV, I’ve done soaps for ABS-CBN, like ‘Dream Dad’, ‘Oh My G’ and ‘The Greatest Love’.”
She was in third year at St. Benilde taking up Digital Filmmaking but had to stop when she became busy as an actress. “Balak ko pong ituloy next school year kasi iba rin po yung may degree ka.”
Unlike other stars who are so secretive about their love life, Anna admits she has a boyfriend. “High school sweethearts po kami and 8 years na kaming on. He did commercials before at maraming kumukuha sa kanya sa showbiz kasi he looks like a young Ian Veneracion. Pero ayaw niya, mas gusto niyang maging pilot.”
