GMA-7's 'Someone To Watch Over Me' & Several Other Kapuso Shows Nominated In The 2017 New York Festivals World's Best TV And Films

CONGRATULATIONS TO the Kapuso Network for the nominations they got in the coming 2017 New York Festivals World’s Best TV and Films. First is their drama series “Someone to Watch Over Me”, that is the only Asian drama to be nominated.

Lovi Poe, who starred in the said show, shared the good news in her social media account. Lovi wrote: “I’m proud to announce that ‘Someone To Watch Over Me’ is one of the finalists of the highly prestigious 2017 New York Festivals World’s Best TV and Films. It also happens to be the lone finalist from Asia and the Philippines. Congratulations to one of the most hardworking teams I’ve ever had the chance to work with! #STWOM team you guys are amazing.”


Some GMA News and Public Affairs shows also made it as finalists: “Reporter’s Notebook: Pasan-Pasang Pangarap” in the Investigative Documentaries category, “Paaralan para sa Community” in the Portraits category. “Front Row‘s Bata sa Bintana” is nominated in the Human Concerns category while “Reel Time’s Maling ­Akala” is nominated in the National / ­International Affairs category.
