JAMESON BLAKE has a very daring scene in “2 Cool 2 B 4Gotten” where he took off all his clothes in front of Khalil Ramos then pleasured himself. “I almost backed out because of that scene,” he says. “Kasi wala pa akong experience sa acting, but then maganda talaga yung role ko as Maxim Snyder so I just closed my eyes and did it.”
And it paid off as he won as best supporting actor in the Cinema One Filmfest for his performance in that movie. And it also opened doors for him to do teleseryes. He is now part of the cast of “Wansapanataym” and “Dear Heart”, not bad for someone who has not even taken an acting workshop at all. The movie is about the sexual awakening of a closeted teenager. In real life, would he fall for someone of the same gender?
“I’m now 19 and as I get older, I realize that when it comes to love, gender doesn’t really matter. As long as you’re comfortable with it and the person is fun to be with, there’s no barrier to having a relationship.”
Jameson has a Pinay mom and an American dad. He was born in Hongkong then their family later moved to Angeles when he was 10 years old. He joined Pinoy Big Brother 737 and later became a member of the dance group Hashtags before he auditioned for “2 Cool 2 B 4Gotten”. Will he be ready to do more daring scenes?
“It depends on the material and on my role. Here, I talked muna to our director and asked what is the purpose of the scene. After he explained it to me, I understood it and so I did it.”
What’s the reaction of his Hashtags colleagues now that he has won an acting award? “Inaasar nila ako. They say, you just won kasi nagpakita ka ng puwet mo. But they’re all very supportive of me. As a matter of fact, some of them were there and watched the movie in its premiere night at Trinoma.”
