JULIE ANNE SAN JOSE says her face has become numbed because of the slaps she got from LJ Reyes and also Jean Garcia while taping her confrontation scenes with them in “Pinulot Ka Lang sa Lupa”, whose ratings have climbed up the charts so it’s not true that it will be ending soon.
Drama shows that feature the female characters engaging in violent catfights seem to be a favorite scene among local audiences. This is the reason why “Sa Piling ni Nanay” (with Yasmien Kurdi and Katrina Halili fighting all the time) and now, “Ika-6 na Utos” (with Sunshine Dizon and Ryza Cenon as the adversaries), are all winners in the ratings game.
So does Julie Anne now avoid doing slapping scenes? “As an actress, part talaga yun ng trabaho namin,” she says.
Is she feeling inspired now that she’s paired with her beau, Benjamin Alves, in the show? “Basta masaya kami tuwing magkasama, lalo rito sa taping. Yung love team, binuo ng fans namin in May last year. So this coming May, first anniversary ng love team namin.”
