Lj Reyes On The Possibility Of Her Tying The Knot With Current Beau Paolo Contis

LJ REYES is not worried about the bashing she’s getting in social media for “Pinulot Ka Lang sa Lupa”. “Hindi naman sa aking naiimbiyerna ang regular viewers ng show kundi sa character na ginagampanan ko, si Angeli,” she says. “Si Angeli ang inaaway at bina-bash ng haters and that means they find my performance very effective. At humanda sila dahil marami pang gagawing kamalditahan si Angeli sa mga darating na episodes para buwisitin ang buhay ni Julie Anne San Jose as Santina. Sa ngayon, nagtagumpay na akong akitin si Benjamin as Ephraim at nag-bedscene na kami.”

Her version of Angeli is actually much nastier than that of Lorna Tolentino in the original movie. Hers is an out and out contravida without any redeeming value, but that’s understandable since this is a soap on TV. She was also contravida to Yasmien Kurdi in her last soap, “Yagit”. We just wish LJ would be given a meatier lead role by GMA-7 since she has proven her acting capabilities in the movies, notably in “Anino sa Likod ng Buwan” where she even won an international best actress award.

About her personal life, LJ admits she’s now cozy with Paolo Contis but getting married is still out of the question. “Gusto ko ring lumaki ang anak ko si Aki na may buong pamilya but we don’t want to rush things,” she says. “Gusto muna naming maging stable kami at mas maayos ang lahat.”
Paolo is still legally married to Lian Paz, with whom she has two daughters, and they have yet to legally annulled their marriage.
