Lotlot will attend the affair next month but she has to excuse herself from the taping of GMA-7’s hit primetime soap, “Destined To Be Yours”, where she plays the role of Alden Richard’s mother who was oppressed by her rich in laws, Boots Anson Roa and Tommy Abuel. So how is it working with Alden?
“Mabait na katrabaho,” she says. “Nang mag-taping kami sa bundok sa Dolores, Quezon, napakalayo ng location at nagkasakit ako kasi ang lamig-lamig doon. Nilagnat ako sa set, so I have to lie down and rest. Ay, talagang hindi niya ako pinabayaan. He watched over me and even made me take my medicines. Para talagang anak kong concerned sa akin and he kept on asking if I’m okay.
And what does she think of the Alden-Maine Mendoza love team? “Maganda talaga ang chemistry nila. Hindi naman makakaila, on screen and even of screen. No wonder ang daming supporters ng love team nila. Pareho rin silang okay umarte. Abangan nyo kasi as the story goes on, mas paganda nang paganda ang plot developments sa love story nina Alden as Benjie and Maine as Sinag. It turns out, the two of them have already met when they were kids, but they never found out each other’s name. Now, Benjie is an architect in his grandfather’s architectural firm na naatasan to do the company’s big project in Pelangi, while Sinag is a DJ at the local radio station who strongly opposes the development of their town to preserve their land and culture. Now, Benjie starts courting Sinag to make her fall in love with him and convince her to sell their land. Even though Sinag’s mother believes that Benjie is her soul mate, Sinag still has her doubts because of the pain she experienced from her past relationship. Abangan nyo if she’d open her heart again and fall for Benjie’s sweetness to her o mabubuko niya ang tunay nitong motibo.”
