ALDEN RICHARDS & Maine Mendoza's fans are up in arms with the rumor that their show "Destined to be Yours", will run for only one season and will have no extension. Some of them even wrote a letter of protest to GMA-7 management requesting that the show gets extended so they can still watch their idols on primetime for a longer period of time. Well, here's hoping that the Kapuso network will give in and grant their request.
Alden and Maine are just back home from the USA and they want to thank all their fans abroad for making their concerts in the East and West Coast big big hits. They're now back taping new episodes for "Destined to Be Yours" and folks say it's very obvious that their trip abroad helped in making them feel close to each other.
"Parang mas clingy sila sa isa't isa ngayon," an observer on the set remarks. "Magka-holding hands pa sila habang nagre-rehearse at nagbabasa ng script sa set."
In the story, Alden as Benjie and Maine as Sinag have seen each other again and it's quite apparent that they still harbor sweet feelings for each other. The problem is Alden now has Thea Tolentino as Trish in his life, while Maine is also much closer to Juancho Trivino as Badong, who she has accepted as her boyfriend.
Things get complicated because Maine and Thea have become good friends and Thea confides in her that she's jealous about the identity of the new woman in Alden's life, not knowing it's not one else but Maine herself. Meantime, Ina Feleo as Catalino continues her evil plots to discredit Alden in their company.
