CHOLO BARRETTO plays Jericho Rosales’ best friend in “Luck at First Sight”. He’s paired with Kim Molina who plays Bela Padilla’s cousin in the story. In real life, it’s common knowledge he’s now in a relationship with Ryza Cenon, who’s in the hit afternoon soap, “Ika-6 na Utos”. When asked about Ryza, Cholo didn’t hem and haw like other evasive actors do and quickly admitted that they’re playing beautiful music together.
“Six months na kami and it’s a serious relationship,” he says. “I’ve introduced her to my parents and other Barretto relatives, at ako rin, naipakilala na niya sa lola niyang nagpalaki sa kanya. We’re both very supportive of each other’s careers at pino-post pa niya ang poster ng ‘Luck at First Sight’ sa social media account niya, telling her followers to watch our movie. Ako naman, I’m so happy sa tagumpay ng soap niya ngayon. Sana magtuloy-tuloy ang pagdating ng magagandang projects sa kanya. Lagi ko lang siyang nire-remind na bitawan ang character niyang si Georgia sa ‘Ika-6 na Utos’, kasi kung minsan, kahit wala na siya sa taping, parang dala-dala pa rin niya.”
Won’t Ryza get jealous because of his kissing scene with Kim Molina in “Luck at First Sight”? “Hindi naman. Hindi rin naman ako nagseselos sa romantic scenes nila ni Gabby Concepcion sa soap nila. We both know trabaho lang ito.”
