ONE OF THE MOST awaited films this year is the comeback movie of acclaimed filmmaker Mike de Leon, who directed such memorable films as "Sister Stella L.", "Kisapmata", "Kung Mangarap Ka't Magising", "Batch 81" and "Bayaning 3rd World". His new movie is "Citizen Jake", starring broadcaster Atom Araullo in his first acting role who feels fortunate to have been tapped by de Leon to play the title role.
"He's very passionate about filmmaking," says Atom. "It is common knowledge that he is a perfectionist and quite uncompromising when it comes to his vision about his movie. I was so surprised when he offered me the role of Citizen Jake. We have so many discussions about the project and I'm learning so much from him that I now realize how blessed I am in getting this opportunity to work with him."
Supporting Atom in the movie playing equally important roles are Cherie Gil, Dina Bonnevie, Max Collins, Luis Alandy, Gabby Eigenmann, Nonie Buencamino, Lou Veloso, Richard Quan, Anna Luna, Teroy Guzman and Jomari Angeles.
