Valeen Montenegro Joins Cast Of 'Encantadia' As The Shy Bathalumang Haliya

VALEEN MONTENEGRO is elated to be the latest addition to the huge cast of the hit GMA primetime telefantasya, "Encantadia". She plays the new character, Bathalumang Haliya.

"She'll be helping the diwatas in the story," she says. "But actually, very shy siya. Ayaw humarap sa ibang mga nilalang kaya mas pinili niyang manirahang mag-isa kasi sobrang siyang mahiyain. But then, mananaig ang pagnanais niyang makatulong sa mga diwata."

Valeen is one of the three new characters in the show after Zoren Legaspi as Bathalumang Emre and Ian de Leon as Bathalumang Keros. She's also regular seen in "Sunday PinaSaya" and she's glad that she has gotten over earlier rumors implicating her as the third party in the breakup of Ciara Sotto and husband Jojo Oconer. She is in a longstanding relationship with her Fil-Am boyfriend of seven years named Selu Lozano.
