“I’m so touched kasi sabi nila it’s their way of showing to me how much they love me,” says Maine. “I became quite emotional at nagpapasalamat talaga ako sa suporta nila sa’kin since I joined showbiz. I will forever treasure lahat ng ginagawa nila sa’kin for the rest of my life, kahit wala na ako sa showbiz at tumanda na kaming lahat.”
The fans say they like Maine so much because, after all her success, she has not become a swellhead. “She has remained humble and we appreciate it na naglalaan siya ng oras to spend with us,” they say. “I believe kasi sa sinasabi ni Alden (Richards) na the greatest gift you can give to anyone is time,” says Maine. “So I always see to it may time ako for our fans.”
Now that “Destined to Be Yours” is about to end on May 26, what can the fans of the AlDub love team expect from them? “Abangan nila yung bagong movie namin ni Alden na follow up sa aming hit movie last year na ‘Imagine You and Me’. We’re really excited about it at magi-start na kami ng shooting soon. Abangan din nila yung book ko about my life and experiences in showbiz na ilalabas ng Summit Media this year.”
A lot of their fans were pleased when Maine hosted the sugod-bahay segment in ‘Eat Bulaga” last Thursday featuring the house of Alden in Nuvali in Laguna. Alden’s father, Daddy Bae, sister Angel and Lola Linda were so surprised because they didn’t know that Maine was coming to visit them. Their fans are now asking Alden for his turn to make “sugod bahay” to Maine’s house in Bulacan for it to also be featured in “Eat Bulaga”.
