MATTEO GUIDICELLI remains to be one of the most well bred stars at the Kapamilya network, always oozing with good vibes and positivity. Sun Life Asset Management Co. Inc. or SLAMCI presented him as their brand ambassador for their Mutual Fund that will show a series of vlogs called Make It Mutual, starring Matteo himself, that will demonstrate to millennials how to invest their savings wisely.
“They will provide you with your own financial adviser who’ll act like a life coach you can trust to make your own money work for you,” says Matteo. “You can start with an investment of as low as P5,000. I believe in it as I only endorse products that I really trust and believe in. It’s my third year with them and ever since I ‘made it mutual’ with SLAMCI, they’ve been helping me achieve my life goals, so I want to foster Mutual Fund awareness to help more Filipinos in choosing the right investment company para they can avoid the dubious ones.”
His girlfriend, Sarah Geronimo, is endorsing another company that offers the same services. How do they feel about this? “Most of the time naman, we’re endorsing competing products, so okay lang. About financial investments, she has her own financial adviser naman and we don’t let our competing endorsements affect our personal life. This is the reason why we avoid appearing in the same project. We both agreed that we want our relationship to be very private to protect it.”
In his last movie, “Can’t Help Falling in Love”, he played some sort of a contravida to Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo. Why did he accept it when he already does lead roles? “I don’t mind being the third wheel as I want to experience working with Kathniel. Also, the director, Mae Cruz, is one of my favorite directors and when she offered it to me, I said yes right away. Anyway, I now play a lead role in my new movie, ‘The Ghost Bride’, with Kim Chiu. It’s directed by Chito Rono and I was intimidated at the start but he turned out to be very nice. Matatapos na ang shoot namin by next month. There are also negotiations for a new teleserye but confidential pa lahat.”
