“Okay lang kasi Direk Mark Reyes explained to me na hindi na magtatagal ang role ko as Anthony so walang problema at hindi ako nalungkot,” he says. “Tapos nga, nilipat naman ako sa ‘My Love from the Star’ at maganda ang role ko as the brother of Jennylyn Mercado. Kaya tuloy-tuloy lang ang trabaho ko at hindi ako nawalan ng show. Pasaway ako rito sa ‘My Love from the Star’ kaya problema ako ng mother namin, si Tita Glydel Mercado.”
He appreciates being given the chance to work with Jennylyn. “Kasi galing din siya sa Starstruck and she was one of the judges namin sa Starstruck 6. So it’s really an honor for me to be working with her. Marami kaming eksena rito at lagi kaming nag-aaway kasi nga matigas ang ulo ko, e. She’s very supportive to me kasi alam niyang baguhan lang ako and gives me tips about acting.”
He used to have problems with his Tagalog since he grew up in Australia but he’s more conversant now with the local language. “GMA sent me to a good coach kaya mas nahasa ako sa pagsasalita ng Tagalog. I’m also starting to record some songs now in Tagalog.”
He was the front act in Alden Richards’ “Upsurge” concert at Kia Theatre last Saturday. “I had fun. I’m so thankful to Alden kasi he chose me to do the front act sa concert niya. He’s such a nice person at yung appearance ko sa show niya is a big help to help me promote my album.”
“My Love from the Star” starts airing tonight after “Mulawin Vs. Ravena”.
