Maine Mendoza Must Have Been Stressed Out Be Her 'Bastos' Fans So Deactivated Her Twitter Account And Personal Blog

MAINE MENDOZA has deactivated her Twitter account where she has more than 4 million followers last weekend and we’re not surprised. She also signed off from her own personal blog. We really couldn’t blame her as a lot of her fans have become uncouth, disrespectful and so utterly walang modo.

We admire Maine for having the guts to stand up to her “bastos” fans and give them a piece of her mind. Talaga namang umaabuso na yung iba and we’re sure Maine found all the negativity of their harmful and toxic tweets so stressful.

Maine’s last tweet expresses her feelings meaningfully: “When peace & love are no longer being served; and whenever you find yourself taking in so much negativity, you have to take a break & reflect. Sometimes we need to disconnect to reconnect. Taking a break is necessary to save yourself and others from drowning. I hope we all stop pulling each other down.”

Because of the accessibility of social media today, fans have become so pervasive, controlling and possessive even in the personal lives of celebrities they idolize, unlike during the time of Nora & Vilma & Sharon when they just admire from a distance. Now, they have a birth right to meddle in the affairs of their idols and have become so “pakialameros”.

But, the truth is, let’s face it, they don’t really have that much of a clout. If they did have such a big clout, then the AlDub series “Destined to be Yours” would have quickly skyrocketed to the heavens in the ratings game and would still be in the air up to now. The fact remains that when Jennylyn Mercado’s “My Love from the Star” replaced the AlDub show, its ratings quickly went up and clobbered the rival show that AlDub found so hard to topple.

Sef Cadayona, who is hated by Maine’s fans, has already stated that they have no relationship other than just friendship, but the fans continue to spew vitriol against him. Sef is currently part of the hit show “Meant to Be” as Barbie Forteza’s brother and he’s also in “Bubble Gang”, so his career is just steady and won’t really be affected by the hate campaign against him of Maine’s fans. It is Maine who will be, in the end, adverself affected.

As for Alden Richards, we’re no longer surprised that for his next show, GMA-7 management is giving Alden a solo show, minus Maine. We’re sure they’ll be happy if Alden would continue to shine on his own and is not just banking on the popularity of being part of a love team, since Alden is their own property while Maine is not really with GMA but a talent of APT Entertainment.

Between the two of them, it’s clear that Alden has better chances of making it on his own since the entire network is backing him up, whereas Maine’s “balwarte” will only be the shows of APT and TAPE, mainly, “Eat Bulaga”.
