MIGUEL TANFELIX is proud of the good feedback that his new show, “Mulawin Vs. Ravena”, is getting. “We now have loyal fans at very encouraging ang comments nila sa social media kunsaan lagi kaming trending,” he says. “I’m really happy kasi bukod kay Kuya Dennis Trillo, ako lang ang member ng original cast ng ‘Mulawin’ na kasama ngayon dito sa sequel. I was only 5 years old when I first played the role of Pagaspas and now, after 13 years, I’m happy to re-create the role again ngayong teenager na ako. When I first wore my costume, kasama yung wings at headdress ko, iba talaga ang feeling. At home ako agad. Pero kung noon, tirador lang ang hawak ko, ngayon, boomerang na.”
Since the role is physically taxing, he’s now into kickboxing and martial arts. “Mahirap gawin yung flying scenes kasi nakakangalay sa likod, sa hita mo, so dapat, fit ka talaga para hindi ka mahirapan. When I saw our flying scenes, nangilabot ako and got so excited kasi ang ganda at very convincing ang execution.”
He’s reunited with his ka-love team in the show, Bianca Umali as Lawiswis. “Pero magiging magkalaban kami rito kasi Mulawin ako at magiging Ravena siya, kaya forbidden love affair kami, parang Romeo and Juliet.”
He quickly dismisses rumors linking them to each other. “Sinabi naman niyang ayaw pa ng lola niyang ligawan siya kasi she’s only 17. So we’ll just wait for the right time.”
