RAFAEL ROSELL is back on GMA-7’s Afternoon Prime as Homer, the husband of Kris Bernal as Rosette in “Impostora”. He was last seen in “Sinungaling Mong Puso” early this year with Rhian Ramos. After that, he did a lot of guestings in “Magpakailanman”, “Wagas”, “Dear Uge” and “Karelasyon”. Is he happy that he moved to GMA-7 from ABS-CBN?
“Oo naman,” he says. “Hindi ako nawawalan ng assignment. Before ‘Sinungaling’, I was on primetime in ‘Because of You’ and before that, in ‘Second Chances’ and ‘The Borrowed Wife’, so tuloy-tuloy talaga siya and with various guestings pa.
It’s his first time to be paired with Kris Bernal. How is itd? “We’ve worked together in variety shows this is the first time I am acting with Kris Bernal in a drama show and I take my hat off sa kanya kasi ang galing niya. She plays two very demanding roles and she’s really good and convincing in both of them. She’s very professional, focused talaga sa two roles niya and she always gives her all so it’s a pleasure working with her.”Kris plays two characters. As the ugly Nimfa, people make fun of her and she runs away from home after she figures in an incident for which she became wanted by the police. While trying to escape from the cops, she is accidentally hit by a car, driven by a plastic surgeon, Ryan Eigenmann,who operates on to change her face.
“Impostora” also stars Elizabeth Oropesa, Assunta de Rossi, Vaness del Moral, Rita Daniela, James Blanco, Leandro Baldemor, Aicelle Santos and Sinon Loresca. It will start airing on June 19 replacing “Legally Blind” that is on its last two weeks. Rafael has also just finished a new movie, “The Way of the Cross”, intended for international release co-starring Daiana Menezes and Roxanne Barcelo.
