KRIS BERNAL can now heave a sigh of relief. Her new Afternoon Prime series, “Impostora”, finally started airing yesterday and the feedback is generally good. “After some delays, finally, nai-showing na rsin siya,” she says. “And although kinakabahan ako, which is but natural, confident naman akong magugustuhan ng viewers ang bago naming show. When we watched the pilot week in a special preview, lahat kami ng mga kasama ko felt proud dahil our hard work paid off. Ang ganda talaga lumabas ng pagkakalatag ng story ni Nimfa, ang dalagang pangit na inoperahan ang mukha at binago para maging kamukha ni Rosette na nagtataksil sa asawa niya at gustong takasan ito. First time ko gumanap ng dual roles and it’s really difficult to do, sobrang matrabaho dahil pabago-bago ako hindi lang sa hitsura ko, sa mga suot ko, kundi sa pagkilos ko dahil sophisticated si Rosette at jologs naman si Nimfa. Masasabi ko talagang ito ng ang pinaka-challenging na soap na ginawa ko.”
Supporting her in “Impostora” are Rafael Rosell as Rosette's husband and Ryan Eigenmann as the doctor who operates on Nimfa’s face and is actually Rosette’s lover, also Elizabeth Oropesa as Nimfa’s adoptive mother, Assunta de Rossi as Rafael’s socialite elder sister, Vaness del Moral as Nimfa’s oppressor, Rita Daniela as Rosette’s best friend, Leandro Baldemor as Vanness’ policeman brother, Sinon Loresca and Aicelle Santos as Nimfa’s loyal best friends, and Yuan Francisco and Dayara Shane as Rosette’s two children, directed by Albert Langitan.
In “Impostora”, Kris says goodbye to her erstwhile sweet image. She has love scenes with both Rafael and Ryan and she says she has never been as daring before. “May shots kasi na hindi mo puedeng dayain kaya kailangan mo talagang gawin. Buti na lang, pareho sila magaling umalalay. Kay Rafael, nahihiya pa ako noong una, hindi ako makatingin sa kanya, pero masarap, he’s a good kisser, in fairness. Nakatulong din that we have sensuality workshop na we tried touching each other para maging mas comfortable kami sa isa’t isa.”
