“Patay na si Hesus” - Originally an entry to QCinema Filmfest last year, it is produced by T Rex Entertainment, starring Jaclyn Jose, Chai Fonacier, Angelina Kanapi and Olive Nieto, directed by Victor Villanueva. It won the Audience Choice and Gender Sensitive Film Awards at the OCinema Filmfest.
“Pauwi Na”- First shown in To Farm Filmfest 2016, starring Bembol Roco who won best actor (tie with Gerry Cabalic of “Paglipay” and Cherry Pie Picache who won best actress in the said filmfest, plus Meryll Soriano and Jarald Napoles, directed by Paolo Villaluna. It won the Golden Goblet Award at the recent Shanghai International Filmfest.
“Paglipay (Crossing)” - First shown in. To Farm Filmfest last year, starring newcomer Gerry Cabalic who won best actor in the said filmfest, JC Santos, Joan de la Cruz and Anna Luna who won best supporting actress, directed by Zig Dulay who won best director. The film itself won best picture and now has multiple nominations in the Urian Awards.
“Ang Manananggal sa Unit 23B” - Produced by Ideafirst Company, starring Ryza Cenon and Martin del Rosario, directed by Prime Cruz. Originally shown at QCinema Filmfest last year, it won the best supporting actress award for Vangie Labalan and the best director award for Cruz.
“Star na si Van Damme Stallone” - An entry in the CineFilipino Filmfest last year where it won the best actress award for Candy Pangilinan and the best supporting actor award for Isaac Cain Aguirre, directed by Rudolph Longjas.
“Birdshot” - Produced by Tuko Film, Butchi Boy & Artikulo Uno, starring John Arcilla, Arnold Reyes and Mari Joy Apostol, directed by Mikhail Red. It won the Asian Future Best Film trophy at the Tokyo International Filmfest last year.
“Hamog” - First shown in the Cinema One Digitals Filmfest in 2015, produced by Cinema One, starring Therese Malvar who won the best actress award at the Moscow International Filmfest, also with Zaijian Jaranilla, OJ Mariano and Anna Luna, directed by Ralston Jover.
“Salvage” - First shown in Cinema One Originals in 2015, starring JC de Vera, Jessy Mendiola and Joel Saracho, directed by Sherad Anthony Sanchez.

“100 Tula Para Kay Stella” - Produced by Viva Films starring Bela Padilla and JC Santos, directed by Jason Laxamana.
AWOL - Produced by Skylight Films starring Gerald Anderson and Diane Medina, directed by Enzo Williams.
“Triptiko” - Produced by Michelena Brothers Production, this stars Kylie Padilla, Kean Cipriano, Joseph Marco, Art Acuna, Pinky Amador and Albie Casino, directed by Miguel Franco Michelena.
“Bar Boys” - Produced by SM with Tropic Frills Inc. starring Rocco Nacino, Kean Cipriano, Enzo Pineda and Carlo Aquino as law students, directed by Kip Oebanda.
Those who support indie films should now rally behind these movies to make sure that they will do good at the box office. There are special ticket prices for students. Only P150 for Metro-Manila students and P100 for provincial students, to make it really accessible to the viewing public. In addition to the student rates, cinemas nationwide will be offering a 4+1 promo – buy four tickets and get one for free.
