Maja Salvador Sizzles As The Avenging Lily In 'Wildflower', The Number One Show In Its Slot Before The Early Evening Newscast

MAJA SALVADOR’S career definitely gets a big boost with the huge success of her early evening drama series,”Wildflower”, aired before “TV Patrol”. The story revolves on her character’s desire for revenge and it is now numero uno in it’s slot, trouncing “Wowowin” in the ratings. We’re happy for Maja because we’ve always believed in her capabilities as an intense and persuasive actress.

She sizzles in so many dramatic scenes as the heroine who thirsts for vengeance, Lily, and she should thank the invaluable support she gets from her co-stars, particularly Aiko Melendez as the main antagonist, along with Tirso Cruz III, Wendell Ramos and RK Bagatsing.

Maja is seldom given her own solo show and she’s usually the co-star of someone else, like Kim Chiu in “Ina Kapatid Anak” and Angel Locsin in “Legal Wife”, so we’re glad that “Wildflower” proved that she can stand on her own and be a top rater.

On the big screen, her movies also don’t do that well at the box office, like “Status: It’s Complicated” and “You’re Still the One” which she did for Regal, which are quite well made but people didn’t fully support them at the box office. Her last movie, “I’m Drunk, I Love You”, is an endearing romantic-comedy where she gives a great performance but it also failed to make waves at the tills.

Maybe, if its producer, TBA (Tuko Buchi Boy Artikulo Uno) waited for “Wildflower” before showing it, it would have performed better at the box office. We know a lot of people have become Maja’s fans because of her very effective portrayal of the avenging Lily in the hit “Wildflower”.

“I’m really thankful sa suporta ng viewers sa ‘Wildflower’,” says Maja. “We started airing in February and after five months, na-maintain namin ang high ratings kaya naman extended kami for another season. Sa ngayon, mahirap malaman kung ano ang magugustuhan ng viewers, so I really appreciate it na maraming nagmamahal sa ‘Wildflower’. Nagpapasalamat din ako sa lahat ng kasama kong artista kasi todo bigay sila in their respective roles. Lahat nage-effort sa ikagaganda ng show kaya sana, patuloy nyo kaming panoorin.”
