Meet Some Of The Pretty Contestants In 'Eat Bulaga's' Search For Miss Millennial Philippines

SINCE IT’S IMPOSSIBLE for invited writers to interview all the 38 contestants, they’re divided amongst us and those who got to seat in our table are Joanna Marie Abanza, 18, of Apayao; Chelsea Claro, 19, of Nueva Vizcaya; Allyza Molly Teodoro, 22, of Davao City; Berjayneth Chee, 19, of Cagayan de Oro and Misamis Oriental; and Mary Jade Capin, 19, of the new province of Zamboanga Sibugay.

They are all pretty, charming and fairly articulate. They were glad to have the chance to visit Manila, courtesy of EB. Joanna, a college student who studies at the University of Cagayan Valley in Tuguegarao, says Apayao is no longer part of Kalinga like before, but is now a separate province up in the Cordilleras. “We have our own underground river, the Manacota,” she says. “Mas maganda pa sa Palawan kaya lang ang hirap puntahan kasi you have to go through virgin forest. Sa amin din po yung famous Marag Valley.”

Molly from Davao city proper is a college graduate from the University of the Immaculate Conception and is now reviewing for the CPA board exams. She’s a staunch supporter of Pres.Duterte. “I want to help promote the program of good government that he has started,” she says.

Chelsea Claro is from the little known town of Diadi in Nueva Vizcaya. She’s a tourism senior at the University of Baguio and won her title in May this year. “Usually po, ang nananalo sa amin, yung mga galing sa bigger places like Solano and Bayambang kaya proud kami na taga-Diadi ang nanalo this time, malapit po kami sa Bagabag,” she says. “I’m so excited to introduce sa buong bansa all the beautiful spots in our province.”

Berjayneth’s family is originally from Beijing but they now live in Bulua, Cagayan de Oro. She studies at Liceo de Cagayan and is a member of the Models Association of CDO. She’s thrilled to introduce CDO’s newest attractions in EB. Mary Jade is taking up political science in St. Vincent’s College, Dipolog City. She is proud to promote her new province of Zamboanga Sibugay which is in between Zamboanga del Norte and del Sur and famous for its fabulous Merloquet Falls.
