SOLENN HEUSSAFF is a much favored girl at GMA-7. She’s currently in “Taste Buddies” with Rhian Ramos and her character as Iris will be introduced this week in “Alyas Robin Hood”. Now, she has also started taping for yet another new show, “All-Star Videoke Challenge”.
“I really feel so blessed and I want to thank GMA-7 for all these good projects,” she says. “At least, may hosting ako, may soap ako, now I even get to sing in ‘All-Star Videoke Challenge’ along with my co-host, Betong Sumaya, and the celebrities who will join our show as contestants every Sunday evening. Bagay sa mga Pinoy ang show as we all love to do karaoke.”
Did she have to prepare for the show? “Mas inaayos ko ang Tagalog ko kasi I will give instructions to the contestants in Tagalog. Medyo nervous din ako kasi, as a host, dapat you should be more lively. But I’m more excited than pressured. I also told Betong na dapat, maganda ang bonding namin on camera para mukhang we’re all really having fun.”
Isn’t her husband, Nico Bolzico, complaining that she’s so busy and has not much time for him? “Yes, I’m really that busy. Halos araw-araw wala ako sa bahay and when I’m taping ‘Alyas Robin Hood’, inaabot pa ako nang umaga. But he’s busy rin naman with his businesses, so quits lang. Also, we’re really saving up as we want to buy our own house before we start our own family.”
Did they sign a prenuptial agreement? “No. We don’t really know how much each other is earning, but we do have a joint account for our common expenses sa bahay, like apartment dues, electricity, water. It works for us better that way.”
Is her brother Erwan and sister-in-law to be Anne Curtis about to tie the knot anytime soon? “Secret, I’m not allowed to say anything, so surprise na lang. But if you follow their Instagram stories, you’d see they’re always together. Travel buddies silang dalawa so they really know how to be together sa dami ng places that they’ve visited.”
Despite her busy showbiz schedule, Solenn still has time for her other vocation: being a painter. She will soon have an exhibit of her collection of paintings called Kalsada series, consisting of street scenes she has observed in real life. “Over one year in the making ito at isinisingit ko lang kapag wala akong taping. It’s mostly about kids that I see in the streets, walking, sitting down, even sleeping sa pavement. I want to show some of the real conditions in our streets and I’m proud of my work. I’ll have an art exhibit this coming October at Provenance Art Gallery.
