ANDREA TORRES’ romantic scenes with Dingdong Dantes in their roles as Venus and Pepe in “Alyas Robin Hood” are so believable. As one regular viewer commented on the internet: “Parang totoong-totoo ang mga lambingan, titigan, landian at harutan nila sa show. Baka may magselos na naman diyan ha!”
Andrea only laughs when she hears this. “Lahat naman yun, acting lang. With Kuya Dong, kapag kami ang magkaeksena, lahat, parang ang dali. We always just think na kami yung characters namin, sina Venus at Pepe. Marami akong natutuhan sa kanya kaya I feel so relaxed in his company and it’s always fun doing a scene with him.”
Isn’t afraid of the intrigues about them insinuating that there’s really something going on between? “Wala naman kaming ginagawang masama, we’re just doing our jobs, as expected of us. When we do a scene, iniisip lagi namin, ano pa ba ang puedeng gawin para mag-level up talaga kami at maging more interested ang viewers in watching our show.”
So she’s not offended or scared when bashers call her “ahas, malandi, homewrecker, babaeng tuod”? “Sa totoo lang, as long as alam kong hindi naman totoo ang mga ibinabato nila sa’kin, bakit ako matatakot? “Sa Diyos lang ako natatakot and I know na alam ni Lord na wala akong ginagawang masama. I am just being professional sa trabaho, which is what is expected from me. I report sa set para magtrabaho, para gawin ang hinihingi ng script at ang pinagagawa ng director.”
She wants to be very positive in her outlook in life. “Sa buhay ko kasi ngayon, nandun ako sa point na very positive lang ang lahat. I feel so blessed kasi ang daming magagandang nangyayari. So I just count my blessings at di ko na lang pinapansin yung mga paninira. Na-accept ko na yung truth that you cannot please everyone. E, yung bashing, part ng business yan. So tanggapin na lang at huwag dibdibin kung may mga paninira. I’m prayerful, buong family namin, so kung may ganyan, dinaraan ko na lang lahat sa dasal. Kasi kung papatulan mo, mas lalaki pa. So it’s best to keep quiet na lang.”
