KRIS BERNAL’s decision not to leave GMA-7 and transfer elsewhere is paying off well as her new show “Impostora” has been officially extended up to January since it is rating very high. It’s said that one reason it rates well because of her love scenes with Rafael Rosell that seem so hot that their attention was called by the MTRCB.
“Marami nga raw kinikilig, pero acting lang naman lahat yun,” says Kris. “Panghapon ang show namin, so we know our limitations.”
“Personally, I prefer to show love on TV rather than show violent scenes,” adds Rafael. “Why do we have to hide love? We should learn to express our love for each other more openly, kaysa yung awayan at patayan ang pinapakita.”
Kris feels that “Impostora” really helped boost her career. “Nang magpa-sexy ako sa FHM, puro bashing ang inabot ko. Hindi nila nagustuhan. Mas na-appreciate nila itong umaarte ako sa drama, lalo na nga’t dual roles pa ako. Buti na lang at they like it kasi sobra-sobrang hirap talaga ang inaabot ko in playing Nimfa and Rosette. Kasi wala akong cut off. Kung minsan, magdamagan talaga, inaabot ako ng 6 AM at hirap na hirap ako dalawa sa dami ng lines I’m required to memorize, na para sa dalawang tao! Pero inspired ako dahil hayan nga, extended kami for four more months. Masaya ang Pasko at Bagong Taon naming lahat ng taong involved sa ‘Impostora’. Happy holidays sa inyong lahat!”
Because “Impostora” is so hot, other GMA-7 shows are requesting that Kris be a guest in their program. This Sunday evening, you’ll see her as the special guest in the long-running science-infotainment show, “I-Bilib” which is now on its 5th year, doing some experiments on the air with host Chris Tiu and Moymoy Palaboy’s James and Roadfill Obeso. They’ll show how to lift 2 glasses bound only by wet tissue paper, and how to make a toy boat run on mere candle power. In the “Curious”, they will trace the origins of animation and electric guitars.
In the “Bilibabols Paper Bill Drop Challenge,” people think catching a paper bill falling just by their fingers is easy, but they’ll be in for a big surprise. Finally, for “Huling Hirit,” Chris makes everyone analyze how to correctly rename 3 mislabelled boxes of oranges, apples and oranges with apples. All these on everyone’s favorite Sunday science show, “I-Bilib!”
