Meg Imperial Happy To Be A Kapuso As Marian Rivera's Rival Over New Leading Man Matthias Rhoads In 'Super Ma'am'

MEG IMPERIAL is so slim and sexy at the presscon of “Super Ma’am” where she plays contravida to title-roler Marian Rivera. “Mas kontrolado na ang pagkain ko ngayon,” she says. “Noon kasi, when I feel low at nade-depress, I compensate by eating a lot. Like when my dad suddenly died dahil sa cardiac arrest, kaya ako na ngayon ang breadwinner sa amin. My friends know kapag may pinagdaraanan ako, kasi I gain weight nga. But those days of feeling depressed are over for me, move on na ako, kaya I can now take better care of myself. Super happy na ako being a Kapuso. After the afternoon soap na ‘D’Originals’, heto, nabigyan naman ako ng chance sa primetime in ‘Super Ma’am’ and I welcome the chance of working with Marian Rivera na aapi-apihin ko rito. Nakakapag-work out na rin ako uli and this is the new Me, more confident and happy.”

It also seems that she’s inspired by someone now. “Yes, I’m dating a non-showbiz guy at napapasaya niya ako. But nothing serious yet. Getting to know stage pa lang. He’s a Pinoy who worked in Italy for many years. 27 siya, 24 ako. Mas gusto kong mabuo muna ang isang magandang friendship between us. Isa pa, now that I’m busy taping ‘Super Ma’am’, madalas na hindi ako makapag-commit sa kanya when he asks me to go out kasi, siempre, priority ko muna ang work ko. So, wag na munang mag-serious relationship at tama na yung pa-date-date lang muna.”

How is it working with Marian in “Super Ma’am”? “We have a happy set. Para siyang Ate sa aming mga kasama niya. Nagbibiruan kami, kuwentuhan. Pero on cam, inaaway ko siya. Teacher siya sa school where I’m the assistant principal at magiging rivals kami over Matthias Rhoads na isa namang arcahelogist who’s doing research sa bayan namin. Talagang sine-seduce ko rito si Matthias at kung makadikit ako sa kanya, para akong linta. Tiyak na maraming fans ni Marian ang magagalit sa akin sa pagiging maldita ko sa kanya rito.”

The whole cast and staff of “Super Ma’am” are very happy and thankful because the pilot episode of the show got a lot of good feedback from those who’ve seen it. “Sana magtuloy-tuloy,” prays Meg. “Para tumagal sa ere ang show namin.”
