Viewers Enjoy Watching Catfights So Sanya Lopez And Thea Tolentino Now Have Such Fight Scenes In 'Haplos' Where They Really Hurt Each Other

IT’S GETTING TO be a trend lately, scenes showing two actresses doing violent catfights on cam. It seems viewers really enjoy it so much when they see two female stars pulling their hair, clawing and slapping each other in various TV soaps. This is one reason why “Sa Piling ni Nanay” was immensely successful before.

The “sabunutan” scenes between Yasmien Kurdi and Katrina Halili as perfect foils to each other delighted viewers to the max so they became a frequent feature in the show. There wasn’t a week that we didn’t see Yasmien and Katrina confronting and abusing each other, verbally and physically. And yes, they admit that it can’t be helped if they really get to hurt each other doing such scenes.

Now, there’s no doubt that similar hot encounters between Sunshine Dizon as the wife and Ryza Cenon as the mistress have helped in making their show “Ika-6 na Utos” the number one day time show on TV today. Some folks complain that the show’s continuous extensions have made the story so unbearably circuitous and incredible, but viewers themselves are not complaining at all.

Otherwise, the ratings would have dropped a long time ago. So yes, how can you argue with its consistently good performance in the surveys, with it being the only seen from Monday to Saturday?

Now, the latest actresses to have violent confrontations in an afternoon soap are Sanya Lopez and Thea Tolentino, who play warring half siblings in “Haplos”. Sanya as Angela has a healing touch that helps cure people of their ailment, while Thea as Lucille is her opposite as the evil sister who practices witchcraft. Their fight scenes seem quite real. Don’t they really get mad at each other after doing such scenes?

“No, we don’t let it affect us personally,” says Sanya. “Totoong nagkakasakitan kami. Hindi naman maiiwasan yun. But we both know it’s just part of our job as actresses. “Kami talaga yun mismo. Yun pala, it’s my hand that’s bleeding.
