“First time ko nag-prenup photos at masaya ako,” she says. “Feeling ko, parang dalaga ako. Mas masaya ako ngayon kasi magpapakasal ako dahil mahal ko si hubby ko at gusto naming magsama forever. Hindi tulad noon, may hidden agenda ako kung bakit ako nagpakasal, like gusto kong inisin yung babaeng nanggugulo sa amin, pero nakarma nga ako kasi hindi tama ang dahilan. Kapag naumpisahan mo talaga sa mali, sa mali rin mauuwi. But now, it’s all out of love, at nagdaan kami ng maraming seminar to prepare us, merong solo-solo at merong kaming dalawa.”
“Bes and the Beshies” is a story of friendship between four different women who call themselves Beshies. These are Charla, Melba, Tisay and Sophie who each has her own story to tell. Ai Ai plays Charla, who was abandoned by her husband Willy (Alan Paule) 15 years ago and is a single mom to their son, Dan (Nikko Natividad.)
Carmi Martin is Tisay, the mistress of a general named Stone (Bato). She’s determined to do everything just so she’ll get pregnant even if she’s past her child bearing years. Zsa Zsa Padilla is Melba, who has two kids she tries to raise by herself since she has a good-for-nothing husband. Beauty Gonzales is Sophie, the youngest in their group who is a beauty queen wannabe and doesn’t get tired of joining all kinds of beauty pageants.Ai Ai adds she likes “Bes and the Beshies” as the story is not only about friendship and honesty in relationships. “Tungkol din ito sa woman empowerment,” she says. “Patutunayan ng movie na hindi tayo kailangang mag-depend o sumandal lang lagi sa mga lalaki. We should learn to be independent at dapat, tayong mga babae ang unang magtulung-tulungan sa isa’t isa kapag may problema tayo.”
