Angelika De La Cruz Has A Hard Time Keeping A Straight Face While Doing Scenes With The Funny Lolas In 'Trip Ubusan: Lolas Vs. Zombies'

ANGELIKA DE LA CRUZ enjoys being a part of the hit afternoon drama, “Ika-6 na Utos”, where she is one of the contravidas to Sunshine Dizon. “Noong una, guest role lang ako supposed to be,” she says. “Pero naging effective yata yung character ko kaya humaba nang humaba and I’m still in the show up to now as the sister of Ryza Cenon. Hanggang next year pa raw kami, e.”

Now, she’s also in a new movie, “Trip Ubusan: The Lolas vs. Zombies”. “Maganda yung movie at enjoy ako working with sina Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola and Paolo Ballesteros kasi lagi silang nagjo-joke sa set kaya masaya lang kami sa shooting. Parang welcome breather ito for me kasi dramahan kami nang dramahan sa ‘Ika-6 na Utos’. Laging intense ang mga eksena roon, so dito, very light lang ang lahat. Ang mahirap lang, kapag nag-take na, makita ko lang sila Jose, Wally at Paolo, natatawa na ako, so I have to control myself para hindi ako matawa sa harap ng kamera.”

Angelika is also the chairman of their barangay in Malabon so she’s really quite busy these day. Will she be running for higher public office next time? “Naku, hindi na siguro. Mahirap pagsabayin kaya sabi ko, after my term, I will just return to showbiz and my private life. Dalawa na ang anak ko, e. I have two sons who are both growing up very fast so I want to give them more of my time and attention.”
