Joshua Garcia & Julia Barretto Welcome The Chance To Work With Icons Sharon Cuneta & Robin Padilla In The Romcom 'Unexpectedly Yours'

JOSHUA GARCIA and Julia Barretto have proven they can carry their own movie at the box office with such hits as “Vince, Kath, James” and “I Love You to the Stars and Back”. How do they feel that they are now supporting Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Bad Boy Robin Padilla in their third screen outing together, “Unexpectedly Yours”? “When we were informed about it, we were both overwhelmed ni Josh and very excited na makakatrabaho namin sila,” says Julia. “It’s really a great opportunity to work with these respected icons so we grabbed the chance right away.”

“Malaking blessing ito for us kasi alam naming bilang veterans sa industriya, marami kaming matututuhan sa kanila from their wealth of experience in showbiz,” adds Joshua.

So how is it working together again as a love team? “Siempre, enjoy,” says Julia. “Kasi masarap magtrabaho kapag kasama mo yung taong nagi-inspire sa’yo, nagpapangiti sa’yo. Kapag ganun kasi, yung work nyo, hindi siya nagiging work kundi nagiging very light lang siya.”

“Unexpectedly Yours” is a romantic-comedy from hitmaker Cathy Molina. Sharon plays a woman dumped by her husband. Their marriage has been annulled and she is now about also to lose her job. She gets drunk one night while in a hotel and makes the mistake of barging into the room of Robin Padilla, then she loses her consciousness and this will start their odd relationship in the movie.

Julia plays Sharon’s daughter in the story, while Joshua is the nephew of Robin. Uncle and nephew then try to win the affection of mother and daughter, resulting into heartwarming and hilarious consequences. The movie opens in theaters nationwide this coming Wednesday.
