Matteo Guidicelli All Set And Fired Up For His Coming 'Hey Matteo' Solo Concert At KIA Theatre On November 30

MATTEO GUIDICELLI is all set and fired up for his coming solo concert at Kia Theatre on November 30. At his second presscon for the concert, a bigger one, the first questions were, as usual, about his GF Sarah Geronimo. In the first presscon, the same thing happened and later on, some folks bashed him, saying “Gamit na gamit ni Matteo si Sarah para sa promo ng concert niya.”

How does he feel about this? “But what else is new?” he says. “I’m just answering naman the questions and I don’t volunteer any information about her myself, so I’m not gonna be affected because I know the truth. This is the reason why we make it a point not to work together. Kung nagtatrabaho pa kami ng magkasama, all the more I’d be accused of using her.”

Before the Q&A, Matteo sang three songs from his new album and we tell him he’s now a bonafide rocker, which is not surprising since his songs are inspired by Bamboo and Kitchie Nadal. The first song is “10,000 Days” and it refers to the days he has spent on earth since he was born 27 years ago.

The second is “Huwag Ka Nang Umuwi” written by Top Suzara and it’s based on his own concept telling his loved one not to go home. Of course, folks quickly concluded it’s meant for Sarah, who’s reported to have left her parents and now live in a condo on her own.

In his last song, “Hey” (which is the title of his concert, “Hey Matteo”, and has a hit music video with Bogart the Explorer), there’s a line that goes: “Huwag mo naman siya pigilang ibigin ako.” Again, folks concluded it’s intended for Sarah’s parents who allegedly do not totally approve of their relationship.

“It’s not true that Sarah has left her parents,” he says. “Never siyang nag-condo on her own. Nandun pa rin siya sa bahay nila. Basta my whole album is based on the truth. I’m just being honest.”

For his concert, his guests are Kiana Valenciano, Morisette Amon and rapper Loonie of “Respeto” who’s Visayan like him. “Tito Martin Nievera also said he’d see if could come home from the States by then so we might sing together,” he adds.

After “The Ghost Bride” with Kim Chiu, Matteo is now also shooting a new movie, “Single/Single” based on his hit TV series with Shaina Magdayao, produced by Philippine Star. It’s a sequel to the first two seasons of their TV show, with Shaina now pregnant and Matteo is not the dad. He has also started taping for a new teleserye but he’s not yet at liberty to divulge any of its details.
