Ricky Davao's Tita Josie Outed Himself As Gay To Raymart Santiago As Dodong In 'My Korean Jagiya', Ricky Also Plays A Gay Director In A New Movie

RICKY DAVAO is flattered when people tell him that one reason why “My Korean Jagiya” is rating high is the hilarious competition between him as Tita Josie and Janice de Belen as Tita Aida over the attention of Raymart Santiago as Dodong. “Bentang-benta sa viewers ang mga eksenang nagkukulitan sila,” says the show’s director, Mark Reyes. “At ang maganda, they’re both having a good time and enjoying their roles in the show.”

“Sa most recent taping day namin, nabuko na ni Raymart na bakla ako,” says Ricky. “Akala ko kasi, binuko na ako ni Janice sa kanya. Yun pala, hindi naman, so ako na bale ang nag-out sa sarili ko. Siempre, na-turn off siya sa akin but later on, nag-sorry siya and he understands daw ang kalagayan ko so nagkaroon ng hope si Tita Josie.”

Direk Mark says: “Kung natutuwa ang audiences kina Ricky at Janice, mas lalo naman sila naiinis kina Edgar Allan Guzman as Ryan and Valeen Montenegro as Cindy, na gusto pa rin paghiwalayan sina Heart Evangelista as Gia and Alexander Lee as Jun Ho. In fairness kina Edgar and Valeen, pareho sila napakagaling at very effective sa role nila kaya hindi katakatakang nabubuwisit sa kanila ang loyal followers ng ‘My Korean Jagiya’ kaya extended ang telecast ng show namin hanggang January.”

Although Ricky is busy taping “My Korean Jagiya” every other day, he still finds to shoot new films. He plays another gay character in the movie, “Fallback”, with Rhian Ramos and Zanjoe Marudo. “I play a gay director,” he adds. “Kasama rin ako sa ‘Paki’ as husband ni Shamaine Buencamino and mother in law ko si Dexter Doria.”
