THE TEEN LOVE team of Bianca Umali and Miguel Tanfelix (known as BiGuel) is getting a big push in their next primetime show with GMA-7, “Santa-Santita”, which is intended to replace “Alyas Robin Hood” on primetime. No it’s not a remake of a movie of the same title made by Angelica Panganiban before as the story is totally different. In “Santa Santita”, Bianca and Miguel will play their most mature roles so far.
The teen stars were last seen as Lawiswis and Pagaspas in “Mulawin Vs. Ravena” where they shared topbilling with other young Kapuso stars. This time, they play the solo leads and they will be supported by a powerhouse cast, led by respected veteran actress Gloria Romero, along with Christopher de Leon, Jean Garcia, Carmina Villaroel, Marvin Agustin, Congressman Alfred Vargas in his TV comeback, Jeric Gonzales and Kyline Alcantara.
The BiGuel love team has just shown its pulling power when they were the guests of “Daig Kayo ng Lola Ka” recently in an episode about aswangs. It rated so high and their fans say that their kilig factor is so intense even if they star in a supposed to be scary episode.
They are also in the cast of the new comedy, “Trip Ubusan”, with the three Lolas Nidora, Tidora and Tinidora, directed by Mar Reyes and to open in theaters on November 22. No doubt all these projects together made them closer to one another but they're still good friends as of now. "Hinihintay ko pa pong mag-18 si Bianca," says Miguel. "Yun ang bilin ng lola niyang nagpalaki sa kanya, so ayaw ko ring magmadali."
