How is it working with Rhian in “Fallback”, which is directed by Jason Laxamana and will be shown on November 15? “At first, siempre, kapaan muna, kasi first ko nga siyang na-meet pero pinadali niya yung trabaho namin kasi napakagaan niyang ka-work. At magaling siyang umarte, kahit mabigat, light or romantic yung eksena, lagi siyang game gawin kahit ano.”
He’s also glad that he got nominated in the International Emmy Awards as best actor in a single performance for an episode he did in “Maalaala Mo Kaya” and he’ll attend the awards night scheduled on November 20 in New York City. “When I was told na nominated ako, hindi ako makapaniwala,” he says. “I took it as a sign from God para hindi ako mawalan ng gana sa work ko, hindi ako ma-burn out, at hindi ako maging mareklamo at maging jaded or tamarin sa trabahong ito. So it’s a sign na marami pang puedeng mangyari sa career ko, mas lumawak yung goals ko.”
Does he hope to win? “Siempre, umaasa, pero mas excited akong ma-experience yung first time kong pag-attend sa ganung international event and win other actors and creative people from around the world. Kung ibibigay ba sa’kin yung award, di ang laking swerte, thank you. But what I really look forward more is yun mismong event na dadaluhan ko roon.”
