Best actor is Derek Ramsay for “All of You”. Best actress is Joanna Ampil for “Larawan”, her first local movie. Best supporting actor is Edgar Allan Guzman for “Dedma Walking”, even if he’s actually playing a lead role. Best supporting actress is Jasmine Curtis Smith for “Siargao”. Baeby Baste won as best child actor for “Meant to Beh”.
“Siargao” won most of the technical awards, including best editing, cinematography, sound and theme song, including the best director award for Paul Soriano. “All of You” won best screenplay, co-
written by Director Dan Villegas. Best production design and musical score for Ryan Cayabyab were won by “Larawan”, best visual effects by “Panday”, which also won FPJ Memorial award and children’s choice award.
Derek Ramsay and Erich Gonzales were named best male and female star of the night. “Dedma Walking”, earlier predicted by many writers to win as one of the best three best pictures, was snubbed in this category and won the even much more coveted best float award.
Here’s hoping the awards won by “Larawan”, “Siargao” and “All of You” will really help them gain more viewers so they can go higher in the list of filmfest topgrossers.
