Now, they’re in the same boat, both trying to rebuild their lives, make a comeback, and it’s good some people are helping them once again to revive their dormant careers. It’s the second time for both of them to do this. Do they deserve a third chance?
Of course, one thing you can’t deny is that they are both movie star handsome and both of them are also effective drama actors. Even if they went stray, there are people and companies willing to help them revive their careers each time they want to make a comeback.
Mark is now with Viva and it’s said he’ll have a reunion project with ex-GF Claudine Barretto. But of course, they won’t be paired on their own and just be by themselves. Let’s face it. Mark turned 39 last January 18 while Claudine is turning 38 on July 20. They’re no longer the spring chicken that they were when they were paired by Star Cinema in “Mangarap Ka” in 1996. So they’ll be given younger co-stars to help support them.
Claudine herself is making a comeback after she underwent therapy for what she calls panic disorder. She also has to lose some unwanted poundage before startting another project. As for JM, ABS-CBN is said to be willing to give him another teleserye.
It’s a good sign that both Mark and JM humbled themselves, admitting and acknowledging that they’re at fault, that they made some mistakes and are now willling to turn over a new leaf. But we really hope that this time, they’ve truly learned some important lessons in their lives and career. They can’t keep on making the same mistakes as that will clearly demonstrate that they are NOT learning any lesson at all and people will get tired of giving them more chances.
They’re just so lucky that despite what they went through, they are still blessed as they're both still goodlooking. Puedeng-puede pa talagang bumalik at tanggapin uli ng publiko. After their fall, let’s have them get up again and regain lost ground.
JM will be facing new competition in the mid-20s leading man category. While he was away, JC Santos entered the scene and now has projects left and right. Both of them can act persuasively and both of them are also good singers. Will there be enough room for both of them? Let’s see...
