Imelda Papin Taking Role As Actors Guild Prexy Seriously, Happy To Be With Claire, Rico & Rey In Valentine Show, 'Timeless OPM'

IMELDA PAPIN is taking her job as the new president of the local actors guild, Katipunan ng mga Aktor ng Pelikulang Pilipino at Telebsiyon or KAPPT, very seriously. She has also formed the Showbiz Industry Alliance that includes as members stage performers, singers, dancers, magicians, acrobats, actors who are not part of the actors guild.

She has now come up with a memorandum of agreement so that its members can be eligible members of SSS and PhilHealth. She also recently celebrated her birthday at ICON Hotel and her grandchildren with daughter Maffi, who came home from the U.S. for the occasion, performed to entertain her and her guests. Last night, she organized a benefit concert at Teatrino Greenhills for the benefit of the SIA members.

Since its her 40th anniversary in showbiz, she also plans to have a big concert for her fans this year. Meantime, she will have a Valentine concert, “Timeless OPM”, on February 14, along with Rico Puno, Claire de la Fuente and Rey Valera to be held at Newport Performing Arts Theatre. They’re all happy to hear from their producer, Anna Puno of StarMedia, that the tickets for their show are selling very fast. “We promise to give the audience a rousing good time in time for the season of hearts and romance,” adds Imelda.
