All these experiences no doubt bring them closer to one another but the claim that they’re still not formally committed to each other. “We’re still trying to get to know each other better,” says Janella. “We can wait a bit longer.”
“She doesn’t want to rush things but she knows she’s very special for me,” says Elmo. “We’ve travelled together doing shows in the U.S., Japan and Canada for ‘ASAP’ and there’s really nothing like travelling together para mas makilala nyo ang isa’t isa.”
Shooting “My Fairy Tail Love Story” will always be memorable for them. “The best yung underwater scenes namin nung mermaid na ako as Chantel, a spoiled brat na isinumpa kaya naging sirena. I have to undergo special training in swimming and diving for this movie and Elmo is always there para alalayan ako,” says Janella.
“It’s unforgettable kasi, at one point, it became really scary when my oxygen tank wouldn’t work while we were in the deep. At kundi ako nabigyan ng bagong tank right away, baka wala na ako ngayon dito sa mundo,” says Elmo. “I was really terrified but I have to show na professional ako kasi we can’t stop the shooting underwater at magastos, so itinuloy pa rin namin. I just had to trust that everybody will be there for me. Pinaghirapan namin talaga ang movie na ito and we assure the viewers they will have a great time, lalo na yung mga magde-date sa Valentine’s Day.”
